| Beschrijving | This course is a personalized program of spiritual disciplines. It should be put into practice under the supervision of an elder for a period of six months to one year. In addition, the student should work out for himself/herself, with the help of the supervisor, a reading plan to cover all the books of the Bible he/she has not yet studied. The goals of the course are as follows: Know how to feed oneself from the Bible. Know how to read the Bible systematically Die to oneself and live the Spirit-filled life. Gain understanding and experience in the Christian disciplines: prayer, fasting, silence, meditation... Be able to develop a vital, transforming relationship with God, which will make us more Christ-like. Become an active witness to the Gospel. Be growing in Christian character (2 Peter 1:3-11, Gal 5:22-26). Learn how to control oneself, anger and the tongue. Have a relationship of mutual spiritual support. Know one's personal strengths and weaknesses and how to defend oneself against enemy attack. Spiritual warfare and inner healing. Know how to manage one's personal finances. Work. Giving. Know how to discern God's will for one's personal life by applying Biblical principles. |
