Training In Ministry Outreach (TIMO)

TIMO is two to three years of on-site cross-cultural training equipping participants for a life time of ministry. TIMO operates among African people around the world. Mentored by an experienced trainer, team members learn a host language, study the host culture and cover four units on Prayer and Spiritual Warfare, Evangelism and Church Planting, Discipleship and Cross-cultural communication. Through reading, research and interaction, the team critically looks at each of these areas, developing a personal philosophy of ministry which provides a framework for a life of ongoing ministry. Functioning as a program under the Africa Inland Mission International and associated with several universities in the US for both undergraduate and graduate credits, TIMO provides an excellent environment for new cross-cultural workers to get off to a good beginning.
