Description | The three-year Bachelor of Arts (BA) provides students with a broad, flexible education that allows them to develop, understand, and disseminate knowledge, to think critically, and to build on these abilities and understandings. Utilising this educational base an undergraduate is able to specialise in areas of expertise through further graduate studies or be well equipped to take up employment opportunities in the broader community, as well as in Christian organisations. Methods of instruction | Tabor College espouses a holistic method of education and provides an environment where academic learning, spiritual development and service occur together. Formal educational methods include: lectures and interactive sessions, reading, research, preparation of papers and oral presentations, video viewing, practical experiences, field education, group work, reflection, and study for examinations and tests. The educational methods used depend on the nature and level of courses. Informal learning takes place through dialogue and discussion, worship and prayer, and interaction during various opportunities to serve one another and the community. |
