Description | Students will direct revitalization within their congregation in this program, including forming sequential disciple making small groups, church planting, apprenticing leaders, and teacher training. Students will consider all the options for organizing a local church and why various options may be more effective. Students will evaluate why churches struggle with change, conflict, outreach, new members' assimilation, commitment to spiritual growth, and developing lay leaders. Students will improve their Bible study skills, sermon preparation and delivery, and learning to teach their whole congregation Bible survey, evangelism, church history, and doctrine. Finally, students will be trained as trainers and serve as part of a team to train a cohort of pastors in these foundational principles.
