Description Explore the past, engage the present, and dream the future. The pilgrimage begins with a three day Short School of Mission. This is practical training in skills and underpinning knowledge for effective local community outreach. This is followed by a three day mission opportunity. We will spilt into teams and work in communities across the UK supporting local outreach initiatives including Open Crowd Festivals, youth cafes, kids clubs, and more; all part of ongoing strategies to bring Christ’s love to the neighbourhood. To conclude our time together we will embark on a five day pilgrimage. This is a chance to walk in the footsteps of some of the heroes of our faith. We’ll spend a day in London with Wilberforce, Wesley, Shaftesbury; and then travel up to Iona to walk the pebbled beach where St Columba began his ministry; we’ll follow St Aidan to Lindisfarne and as our journey ends, we’ll embark on the pilgrimage to the rest of our lives taking with us the treasures of our 12 days.
