Methods of instruction Master of Divinity programs at GETS are arranged systematically to nurture and achieve holistic growth in different interdisciplinary skills. Significant effort is made by those who teach language to acquire or hone language skills. Students are exposed to different doctrines and theologies. They are encouraged to refute the wrong teachings; reflect, assess them critically and articulate their views properly. Students examined the history of the Jew nation and church. They are encouraged to observe and learn from the flaws and failures and also learn from their strengths. Students are motivated to understand and embrace the significance of acquiring abilities to analyze information and integrate ideas and provide precise solutions in pacifying problems of different issues prevailing in the church and society. Towards achieving this, students are given assignments of different kinds: To develop ability to search out relevant information, assess it critically and use coherently, and ability to analyze problem. To develop ability to arrive at one’s view based on the discussion pertinent to the topic under consideration and presents an original, clear, rational, and creative interpretation of the subject. We do not limit theological education and training within the four wall of the class room. We explore different avenue and makes wise efforts towards students which are committed in our custody within the given time with utmost love and care in nurturing and disciplining them into mature stewards/servant leaders. We desire and encourage students to have a passionate heart for God and mind for truth. GETS theological policy is to have coequal strategy for academic excellence and spiritual vibrancy. We teach students to rightly divide God’s Word and rightly live according to the Word of God. It is observed that one cannot defend the doctrine they love at the drop of their hats but deny the doctrine they proclaimed in practice. Students are taught to substantiate their sermons with a God pleasing lifestyle. Our programs are meticulously designed towards the spiritual development of all the students. Faculty also emphasis and addresses the significance of orthodoxy and praxis in their lectures. Given below are some of the strategies of the seminary towards forming spiritual development. Campus Chapel Chapel is the soul of Campus life. It is like a barometer measuring the spiritual state of campus life. As an educational institution, the education goals of the Seminary will obviously be reflected in campus chapel. Hence, chapel is regarded as an extension of the classroom. We are committed to evangelical doctrines, therefore life style of the preachers and content of sermons are taken into consideration. Campus chapel is an opportunity for the Faculty, staff and students to receive God’s grace through regularly gathering together at a scheduled time as Christian community, praying, worshipping the Lord together, and listening to Word of God. It is an important time to deepen spiritual maturity through receiving abundant food for our souls from God’s Word. Morning chapel services are conducted from Monday through Friday from 10:15: 10:50. The President and Faculty take turn in preaching building students Christian life. Evening chapel services are conducted through the week. Students take turn in sharing their testimonies, and preaching. Gilead Church ` Gilead Church is a campus church. Student’s community is an integral member in the Church. Considering this fact, we are committed in nurturing students to spiritual maturity. Worships services and sermons are design towards achieving this goal. Furthermore, GETS is also committed in training students for pastoral ministry. Therefore, Students are given opportunity to learn to lead in Praise and Worship and other spiritual activities in Sunday Worship services and Campus chapel. Prayer and Fasting Whole night prayer is conducted every first Friday of the month and Fasting and Prayer are organized every second Saturday of the month. Students are also encouraged to be devoted in prayer. GETS aims to be first and foremost people of prayer. Iron Sharpening Groups (ISG) Iron Sharpening Groups is GETS discipleship policy to disciple students. It is an endeavor to cultivate Christ like character.
