Description Introduction to Christian Helping: A helping skills training course. Jesus Christ calls us in the church to deeply love and bear with one another, carry each other's burdens, speak truthfully, and confess sins to each other and so fulfill God's grace and healing in each other's life. In a world that is evidenced by increasing brokenness, pain, and isolation in relationships, we are called to bring the good news of reconciliation in Jesus Christ. It is in this light that this course will focus on developing in students, in a systematic manner, the initial fundamental skills of the helping process of deeply caring for and listening to others. Students will develop a thoroughly Christian response in the manner and framework of helping others in their time of difficulty.
