Description | This course is an introduction to the Gospels with the primary focus upon the Synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark and Luke. Some of the issues and problems that accompany a study of the Synoptic Gospels will be considered. The overall message of each of the Gospels to the respective Christian communities to which they were written will also be looked at. The remainder of the course will be spent in an in-depth study of one of the Synoptic Gospels. From this the ageless message that is discovered will be applied to the contemporary context. |
