Description This one-hour graduate study centers on issues in the nature, needs, and education of the adolescent (ages 14-20). It is an extension of EDU 5330: Nature of the Learner, which must be taken as a prerequisite to this course. Each student will select a topic for extended study. This study will involve an in-depth examination of an issue and a follow-up research paper or action research project. Selected issues must be contemporary, documented from within the last five years of professional literature, relevant to the student’s current professional endeavors or setting, and answer a professional question related to the development or education of the high school or beginning college level student.
