Description This is a survey course in developmental psychology covering human growth from birth through young adult. Emphasis is placed on the major developmental theorists and changes within the strands of development that impact the teaching profession and serve as the basis for developmentally appropriate practices. Upon completion of the course, student should not only have a grasp of the characteristics of the leaner, but also the teaching strategies that compliment the student's developmental needs.
