| Description | This staged MA programme in Field Linguistics will appeal to all who are starting their SIL training with a focus on Linguistics, Dictionary Making or Translation Studies or who have completed the first part of their training in these subject areas during the past few years. The MA is taught in partnership with Wycliffe Bible Translators and SIL, as part of Redcliffe's Centre for Linguistics, Translation and Literacy (formerly ETP UK). The taught component of the MA takes place at Redcliffe College. The 18-week Postgraduate Certificate stage is followed by a supervised field internship of up to two years. To gain the MA, the Postgraduate Diploma and Dissertation stages are then completed. Assignments draw on practical examples and experience in a cross-cultural translation setting.
