Description Effective ministry in contemporary cultures requires a heart enflamed with mission, a head filled with biblical wisdom, and hands equipped to lead Christ’s church and expand His kingdom in His world. The Strategic Ministry Major at Johnson University involves a partnership between the academy and the church that equips students for this kind of effective, strategic Christian leadership. The degree includes a 9-month residency at either Christ's Church of the Valley (CCV) in Peoria, Arizona, at one of several churches in Indianapolis, Indiana, or at Real Life Christian Church in Orlando, Florida. Students complete a leadership core and can choose a concentration from among: church administration, church planting, intercultural studies, pastoral ministry, youth ministry, children and family, special needs, sports management, or worship/production. Throughout the degree program, residents are mentored by Johnson University faculty and staff.
