Description This course is a history of the Christian Church within its larger historical and societal context. The relationship between the church and western civilization will be explored from the foundations of the European nations states to the modern era. The church effected western civilization in my ways and was in turn, effected by it. This course will trace how these developments occurred, the people involved, and the ongoing effects.
