Description | One-year Foundation Training for Cross-cultural Ministry (FTCM). It is designed to equip those called to missionary service for effective cross-cultural mission engagement. FTCM is a one-year certificate course that runs through September of one year to August of the following year or from January to December. It is richly packed with relevant biblical/missiological courses and it includes a four and half months’ field practicum. Methods of instruction | NEMI offers practical mission training whereby about 40% of the time is given to spiritual and character development of trainees - heart (personal and corporate devotions, flock groups, corporate fasting and praying, games, work duties, etc.), about 30% is given to developing the missionary trainees’ thinking or mind - head (Classroom, Christian living, communication and evangelism, practical training in; health, education, animal husbandry, crop production, building with mud and cement, computer appreciation, etc.), and since most of adult learning often takes place in the context of community 30% is given to nurturing contexts appropriate for developing the trainees’ ability to relate across cultures – (hostel, field trips, field practicum, family evenings, local church/ mission relations, etc.) - hands. |

Prerequisite Programmes | Applicants must be born-again and recommended by a church group/mission agency; and must have minimum of 3 credits in the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) or its equivalence for foreign applicants. Credit in English Language is of high advantage. |
